First Responder Assignment Pay. Employees in the Operations Division or day personnel assigned to the Fire-Rescue Division who do not receive EMT or Paramedic Certification Pay shall receive First Responder Pay in the amount of two percent (2%) of the employee’s pay step. Employees receiving First Responder Pay as of October 1, 2000 will be the only employees eligible to receive First Responder pay.
