First Nations People. The Parties recognise there is a significant population of First Nations People within Queensland and the Northern Territory. The Employer shall use best endeavors to employ a minimum of 5% of its total workforce who identify as First Nations People. The Employer will ensure that cultural awareness forms part of the induction process to ensure that all workers are made aware of the history and spiritual connection that traditional owners have with each area where work takes place. First Nations people will be entitled cultural and ceremonial leave as per clause 8.6 below. A cultural ceremony will be arranged on each project with the relevant traditional custodians of the land on which the project is being built.
