First appointment. 2.1. When a teacher is appointed to their first teaching position in a state or state integrated school the qualification group determines the entry point on the base salary scale. Service credits are added to that entry point to determine a teacher’s salary on appointment.
First appointment. (a) All new teacher appointees are on probation for a period of one year. If following a perfonnance appraisal conducted, in accordance with Appendix l of the Independent Schools' Teachers' Award 1976, the school is not satisfied with the teacher's performance then the teacher may have their period ofprobation extended for a further year, ifrequired.
(b) Staff members appointed to the School are employed under the conditions and statements as set out in the School document "Quintilian School Staff Code of Conduct" - (Appendix 1).
