Firebreak Lots Sample Clauses
Firebreak Lots. 1. No construction shall commence on a Firebreak Lot without the written approval of the Fire Chief. Firebreak Lots will be determined prior to Final Approval of the Plan of Subdivision or each phase thereof. Every fifth lot will be established as a Firebreak Lot unless otherwise approved by the Fire Chief. Firebreak lots shall be identified with the appropriate signage installed by the Owner, showing “FB” for firebreak until the exterior cladding is completed on the affected lot.
2. Dwellings or structures that abut a Firebreak Lot will be inspected by the Fire Department prior to the release of the Firebreak Lot.
3. Notwithstanding that a building permit has been issued for any Firebreak Lot, no construction shall proceed on such Firebreak Lot until the exterior finish cladding, roofing, windows and interior drywall (taped/mudded - 1 coat) on the dwelling or structure abutting each side lot line of the Firebreak Lot has been completed, unless otherwise approved by the Fire Chief.
4. The Owner may request a change in the designation of any Firebreak Lot and such request shall be considered by the Fire Chief, whose decision shall be final. If the Fire Chief grants the request of the Owner, the Owner shall make payment of the associated fee as set out in the Township Fees and Service Charges By-law.
