Finish Grading. Finish grading shall include all filling and the moving of all earth necessary to bring the disturbed area to its original condition or better. Grading shall be such as to assure positive drainage away from structures and to promote uniformity with existing drainage patterns. Grading shall be done with selected materials as directed by the Engineer and the top soil of the finished graded area shall be good selected earth suitable for promoting the growth of vegetation. Prior to final completion of the work, the Contractor shall refill and dress any areas which may have settled or washed away.
Finish Grading i. Uniformly grade rough graded areas as necessary within as necessary limits of the contract limit line to finish grade elevations indicated. ii. Grade and compact to smooth finished surface within tolerances specified, and to uniform levels or slopes between points where finish elevations are indicated or between such points and existing finished grade. iii. Grade areas adjacent to building lines to drain away from structures and to prevent ponding. iv. Finish surface free from irregular surface changes, and as follows: 1. Grassed Areas: Finish areas to receive topsoil to within 1 inch above or below the required subgrade surface elevations.
Finish Grading. Contractor shall prepare the finish grading recommendations and design based on Contractor’s interpretation of the geotechnical data reports referenced in Appendix B. The high point of finish grading on site (excluding berms) shall be +7.0 ft NAVD88 based on the survey as requested by Contractor and identified in Appendix B. The Contractor shall build up layers to the final grading elevations in accordance with the Drawings, Specifications and the engineering recommendations developed by Contractor based on Contractor’s interpretation of the geotechnical data reports referenced in Appendix B. Contractor shall develop a detailed paving plan based on its conceptual Drawings.
Finish Grading. A. Finish Grade all area to elevation and grades indicated on the Contract Drawings within the specified tolerance. B. In landscape areas where utility trenching or grading activities occurred, grade to the depth required below finished grade to allow placement of topsoil and/or mulch up to finished grade indicated in the Contract Drawings. C. Ditches shall be finished to drain readily. D. Finished surfaces shall be smooth, compacted, and free from irregularities. The degree of finish shall be that normally obtainable with a blade-grader.
Finish Grading. A. Grade all areas after structures, backfills and embankments have been completed to slopes, contours or elevations indicated on drawings. B. Provide allowance for topsoil placement where required. C. Provide effective drainage with slopes of at least one percent (1%) unless otherwise indicated. D. Replace topsoil to a minimum depth of 4-inches (4”).
