Filtering Software. In compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA), the district has installed filtering and/or blocking software to restrict access to Internet sites containing material harmful to minors, such as sexually explicit or other inappropriate materials. The software works by scanning for objectionable words or concepts as determined by the school district. However, no software is foolproof. A user who incidentally connects to an inappropriate site must immediately disconnect from the site and notify a teacher or supervisor. If a user sees another user accessing inappropriate sites, he or she should notify a teacher or supervisor immediately. Students shall not tamper with, or attempt to bypass, the filtering service. Students shall not use the school district’s network system to access, store, or distribute material that is obscene, pornographic,sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate.
Filtering Software. The State of Delaware through the Delaware Department of Technology and Information maintains software designed to block access to certain sites.
Filtering Software. CCISD Members may not disable the CCISD Network filtering software at any time. Authorized staff may temporarily or permanently unblock access to sites containing appropriate material if the filtering software has inappropriately blocked access to such sites.

Filters may not block material that should be blocked, and conversely, may block images that should not be blocked. The filtering software will not be disabled for minors. Designated library staff may temporarily disable the filter for adult users for lawful purposes. However, if the nature of the content being viewed on the Library workstation disturbs other Library users, the viewer will be asked to cease, to use a privacy screen, or be moved to another workstation. Parents, guardians, or staff may also report an incident to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at ▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇ or local authorities if one becomes aware of the transmission of child pornography.
Filtering Software. ▇▇▇▇▇ School District maintains an Internet filtering software package on and off site. This program automatically filters all student access to the Internet. In addition, this filter will run when the students are home, and will insure safe access to the Internet. Files that show when and where students have accessed Internet sites are available within this filter package. Virus Protection- The device has anti-virus protection software. This software will scan the hard drive and external drives for known viruses. The virus software will be upgraded from the network. The school’s storage server and e-mail server are also District Acceptable Use Guidelines Expectations
