Festivals. Festivals are usually staged by a cultural group to celebrate something that are unique to their own culture. In Mizoram, there are some festivals that are solely unique to the Mizo culture, namely the MimKut, the Pawl Kut and the Chapchar Kut. In the local Mizo parlance, 'kut' simply means 'festival'. The MimKut is usually celebrated during the months of August and September after the annual harvest of maize, thus carrying the name 'Mim' which means 'maize'. In the case of it being translated, if the language to which it is translated into has a word equivalent to maize or mim, then it becomes comprehensible that it is a festival associated with maize. However, the case is different with ChapcharKut. ChapcharKut is celebrated in March, after the bamboos and trees are cut down to be dried for agricultural practices. But if one were to translate the word 'Chapchar' into another language, for instance, English, then it would simply mean 'dry wood'. It loses all of the essence of the festival and the story which lies behind the word 'Chapchar'. While a Mizoram habitat and a Mizo speaker will immediately internalize the depth of the word 'Chapchar', for a person who neither speaks Mizo nor is exposed to the Mizo culture, the significance of the festival would not be understood unless the whole process of the festival is explained in detail to him. Thus, this shows that there are some words determined by the culture and are unique to the culture itself, which therefore exculpates the conjecture that culture determines language to some extent.

Festivals. The entire Plaza is viewed as one large venue for festivals of all kinds. Organizations such as the Los Angeles Festival may co-produce large scale events with Angel’s Flight Productions. Festivals including crafts, food and performance (like the Festival of Masks or the Xxxxx Towers’ Drum Festival) would also be appropriate in a plaza-wide setting. Angel’s Flight Productions will produce two to three performing arts festivals during the year with a multitude of events occurring throughout the plaza over the course of several days (see Budget Notes). These events, during the day or night, are expected to bring in thousands of people to the plaza for each Festival.

Additional Terms & Conditions apply when the vehicle has been hired for the purpose of attending a Festival or for any activity that involves the attendance of a Festival using the Motorhome for transportation and/or accommodation and can be found attached to the end of this document. Failure to declare at the booking stage that the vehicle is to be used for the purposes mentioned above or at a Festival in any way not previously mentioned may result in your booking being cancelled and will invalidate your hire agreement. If it becomes apparent that a returned vehicle has been used at a Festival without permission then South Lakes Motorhome Hire Ltd. reserve the right to withhold damage deposit subject to a thorough inspection of the vehicle to check for damage both internally, externally and mechanically and this will be at the hirers cost, currently £20/hour plus any external charges levied by the mechanics.
Festivals. 9.1 The Client and Cinema Operator will work together to agree the future structure of film festivals, if any, to be held in the Cinema Areas including timings, length and content. The Cinema Operator will give the Client reasonable access to use the Cinema Areas for up to 15 days a year (including some weekends) for festival activity delivered by the Client. For the avoidance of doubt, attendances at festivals events within the Clients Cinema’s will count towards the Cinema Operator’s targets and any ticket income will remain with the Client.
Festivals. Unless the co-producers decide otherwise, co-produced cinematographic works shall be shown at international festivals by the Party where the majority co-producer is established, or, in the case of equal financial participation, by the Party which provides the director.
