Father Clause Samples
Father. Employees who have completed ninety days of the probationary period are entitled to one (1) day of paid bereavement leave to attend the funeral of the following relatives who are not considered under the definition of “Immediate Family”. This paid leave is granted in recognition of the need to support those family members who may be more directly involved. Family members in this category are:
1. Employee’s Grandparents
2. Employee’s Current Spouses Grandparents 3. Brothers and Sisters of the Employee’s Current Spouse 4. Step parents of the employee
5. Grandchildren
6. Step brother/sister Extra unpaid time off may be granted on a per request basis at the discretion of the individual manager or supervisor. Bereavement leave is to be requested using the appropriate form and is authorized by the manager or supervisor. Seniority for each employee shall be computed from the most recent date of hire. Seniority and any recall rights shall be lost to the employee:
1. If the employee voluntarily quits.
2. If the employee is discharged and is not re-instated.
3. If the employee fails to report for work for three consecutive shifts and does not have a good reason for the absence which is acceptable to the company.
4. If the employee has been laid off and fails to report for work within five working days of receiving the notice of recall.
5. If the employee is retired or working past retirement age.
Father. An employee who Is the birth father shall be entitled to up thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks of parental leave without pay. The employee shall take the leave within fifty-two (52) weeks of the child's or date the child comes within the care and custody of the employee.
