Faculty Appointment. The appointment of a faculty member to a rank represents a judgment by the Department, Chair, Xxxx, VPAA, and President that the individual has met the requirements of the rank and is an indication of the institution's confidence in the individual. Tenure and Promotion are earned achievements and not entitlements.

Faculty Appointment. A. A faculty appointment shall typically consist of the fall and spring semesters, from the first day of the term (as identified by the academic calendar or as otherwise set forth in this Agreement) through a Bargaining Unit Member’s regularly scheduled final examinations and the submission of grades.
Faculty Appointment. The terms and conditions of each appointment to the faculty at Lincoln shall be set forth in writing, a copy of which shall be supplied to the Faculty Member. Any subsequent extensions or modifications of an appointment, any special understandings, or any notices that either party is required to provide, shall also be set forth in writing, with a copy given to the Faculty Member.
Faculty Appointment. The College of the Rockies and the College of the Rockies Faculty Association agree to pilot the following process: • Prior to each academic year a general advertisement indicating possible employment opportunities in the Global Studies Certificate program will be posted. • When the course is delivered in an individualized, self-directed format, the instructor will be assigned a total of nine (9) hours of accountable duty time1 for each student in each course offering at his or her salary schedule at the time of the assignment. • When the course is delivered in a cohort arrangement, it will be considered as one section as defined by the University Studies model. Faculty Appointment. Xx. Xxxx shall be appointed the Xxxxxx X. Xxxxxxxx Presidential Professor, and shall serve without term as a tenured faculty member in the School of Law and the Xxxxx School of Education. During Xx. Xxxx’x presidency, he shall not receive any additional compensation for his faculty appointments. During the term of Xx. Xxxx’x presidency, this Agreement supersedes and replaces in their entirety all terms and conditions of the University’s policies that would otherwise apply to this faculty appointment relating to tenure rights, evaluation, compensation, benefits, leave, discipline, suspension, termination, and complaint, grievance or appeal procedures, and also supersedes and replaces any other provisions of applicable University policies to the extent they conflict with the terms of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if Xx. Xxxx’x employment as President is terminated for Cause pursuant to Section G.1, his faculty appointment shall also be terminated. Should Xx. Xxxx continue his employment as a tenured professor at the University following expiration or termination of this Agreement, his faculty salary shall be equal to seventy-five percent (75%) of his last existing Base Salary as President. In addition, he shall receive the same benefits as all other senior tenured faculty.
Faculty Appointment. The President shall hold the rank of Professor of Geology. Xx. Xxxxx shall have the right to fall back to the position Professor of Geology if: a) he resigns the position of President while this Agreement is in effect; b) he is Page 6 of 11 Initials/Date: terminated as President without cause; or c) he is terminated as President for any reason other than the for-cause provisions in subsections 13.1.1; 13.1.4; or 13.1.5, below.

Faculty Appointment. The Board of Trustees grants the President a tenured faculty appointment at the University as Professor of English in the Department of English, College of Arts and Humanities. Following service as President, the President may elect to serve in this faculty position at a faculty salary equivalent to that of the then-highest paid full professor within the department of the President’s tenure assignment, which shall mean the highest nine-month base faculty salary, exclusive of grants, overloads, and summer stipends, but without prejudice to any rights to faculty overload or summer assignments under the then applicable provisions of the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement, and any benefits to which faculty are then eligible to receive. Immediately following his service as President, the President shall be granted a sabbatical period of up to nine months to prepare for returning to faculty service, compensated at 75% of the President’s then current Presidential salary, and subject to continuing benefit eligibility in accordance with any then applicable sabbatical policies. However (and without in any way limiting the scope of cause for which this Agreement may be terminated under Article XI hereof), the President shall not be entitled to a faculty appointment if this Agreement is terminated based on serious acts or omissions of a criminal, fraudulent, or otherwise illegal nature or that involve substantial and material dishonesty or moral turpitude. Faculty Appointment a. If you accept this Appointment as President and Vice-Chancellor, the University will maintain your tenured academic appointment as Professor with tenure in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology in accordance with the policies and procedures of the University. If this Agreement is terminated prior to its expiry, you will be entitled to resume full-time the duties of full professor in the Faculty of Science, with tenure. The termination of this Agreement, whether for cause or not, shall not result in the termination of your academic appointment, unless the reasons for the termination of this Agreement constitute “adequate cause” for the termination of tenured faculty members in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the University from time to time.
Faculty Appointment. Physicians who wish to teach Students at HOST AGENCY must be approved by SCHOOL and appointed to the faculty of SCHOOL prior to performing any teaching or preceptor services to Students. This LETTER and the Agreement are effective on June 1, 2017, regardless of the date when signed by all parties. The individuals executing this LETTER are authorized to sign on behalf of their institutions and certify that their institutions have accepted the terms of the Agreement and further agree to comply with its terms except as noted above.
