Facility Meter Inspection and Correction Sample Clauses
The Facility Meter Inspection and Correction clause establishes the procedures and rights related to inspecting, testing, and correcting utility meters at a facility. It typically allows either party—often the facility owner or utility provider—to request meter inspections if there is suspicion of inaccuracy, and outlines the steps for recalibrating or replacing faulty meters. This clause ensures that utility usage is measured accurately, preventing disputes over billing and promoting fairness in the allocation of utility costs.
Facility Meter Inspection and Correction. PGE shall have the right to periodically inspect, test, repair and replace the Facility Meter, without PGE assuming any obligations under the Interconnection Agreement. If any of the inspections or tests disclose an error exceeding 0.5 percent, either fast or slow, proper correction, based upon the inaccuracy found, shall be made of previous readings for the actual period during which the Facility Meter rendered inaccurate measurements if that period can be ascertained. If the actual period cannot be ascertained, the proper correction shall be made to the measurements taken during the time the metering equipment was in service since last tested, but not exceeding three (3) months, in the amount the Facility Meter shall have been shown to be in error by such test. Any correction in ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or payments resulting from a correction in the meter records shall be made in the next monthly billing or payment rendered. Such correction, when made, shall constitute full adjustment of any claim between Seller and PGE arising out of such inaccuracy of metering equipment.
