Extended Disability. (a) If the contract or regular Faculty Member suffers an extended disability and is thereby unable to perform the assigned duties, the Faculty Member shall, upon exhaustion of paid sickness leave status as provided by Article 11, Section 3, be granted an unpaid extended disability leave.

Extended Disability. Employees may apply for and may be granted a leave of absence without pay for disability, including pregnancy complications, beyond paid sick time accrued. The employee must submit a satisfactory physician’s statement with such application at least two weeks prior to being granted the leave, except in cases of emergency. All such Disability Leaves of Absence require specific approval by the College and shall not exceed twelve (12) months in duration from the last day of paid leave.
Extended Disability. ‌ If the Officer is still disabled at the conclusion of all available paid disability leave(s) and is unable to return to work, Article 10, Section 2, Extended Disability Leave, shall apply.

Extended Disability. If, at the conclusion of all industrial accident leave and additional leave, a classified employee is still unable to assume the duties of his/her position, he/she will be placed on a reemployment list for a period of 39 months.
Extended Disability. The School Division shall advise each teacher to apply for extended disability benefits at least thirty (30) days (30) days in advance of her expected eligibility for such benefit. Requests for such leave should be made in writing to the Superintendent whenever an individual becomes aware of the need for such leave.

Extended Disability. When an employee’s disability, as covered by this Section, extends beyond nine hundred and sixty (960) hours of injury pay, the employee shall immediately become subject to the rules of this Agreement regarding sick leave and disability leave benefits. Prior to expiration of nine hundred and sixty (960) hours, the Employer shall notify the disabled employee of the employee’s option regarding the use of sick leave or other available leave.
Extended Disability. If the Superintendent is unable to perform his regular duties because of personal illness or disability and has exhausted all accumulated leave available to him, the School District shall provide additional paid sick leave at a salary equal to the Superintendent’s regular salary until the expiration of the waiting period for long term disability insurance, or 180 days, whichever is shorter. The Board shall pay the costs of covering the Superintendent’s enrollment in the long-term disability group coverage which is made available to School District employees.
Extended Disability. Upon the date of board approval, and for the remainder of the 2018-2019 2020-2021 school year, a member with ten (10) years of permanent and benefitted status with the District and having exhausted all other paid sick leave shall, with proper medical verification, be placed on temporary disability payments of $100 per month for a period of six (6) months, renewable for one additional six (6) month period with proper medical verification. All District-paid insurance shall be continued in full force during the period when this benefit is in effect.
