Export Crops Sample Clauses

Export Crops. The Project plans to move forward with seven horticulture groups developing export crops (five in Huehuetenango and two in San Marcos). The groups work through agribusinesses operating in the RVCP coverage area to export peas, snow peas, lima beans and cruciferous vegetables. RVCP/FEDECOAG technicians will provide additional assistance and training to said producers to increase their knowledge base to manage the export crops, particularly in regard to the use of pesticides per the RVCP PERSUAP, food safety considerations and post-harvest management. Furthermore, RVCP/FEDECOAG technicians will work with grower organizations on conducting negotiations with agribusinesses to set prices and delivery conditions, schedule plantings, develop management plans and procure supplies.
