Common use of Existing electricity connection Clause in Contracts

Existing electricity connection. If you move into the premises, or the premises under this contract is changed pursuant to clause 23.9(a) of this contract, and it has an existing electricity connection, then we will charge you for electricity supplied to the premises from the date that the meter at the premises was last read, unless you read the meter and advise us of the meter reading within 3 business days of the day that you move in. If a final meter reading was not taken, we will estimate the amount of electricity used by the previous occupant (having regard to seasonal consumption patterns of the previous occupant or a similar class of customer supplied by us), so we do not overcharge or undercharge you.
