EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN. A. Exceptional children are generally held to be children who deviate from a mean expectation in either mental or physical attributes. B. A teacher has an inherent right to ask for, and to expect to receive, reasonable assistance from the District's resources of staff and materials when assigned an exceptional child. C. The Committee on the Special Education will handle all requests for handicapped children.
EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN. It shall be the responsibility of the Board to identify and evaluate all CIHS Students who may qualify for special education and related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The Board shall provide, at its sole cost and expense, all special education and related services required under IDEA for all CIHS courses. Students with disabilities seeking accommodations in WTCC courses must meet the disability eligibility requirements of WTCC, and WTCC shall provide such Students with reasonable accommodations based on current documentation provided by the Student and CIHS. WTCC shall also be responsible for complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504, Subpart E, of the Rehabilitation Act, in the same manner as is required for all other WTCC students. However, the Board shall reimburse WTCC for any and all expenses incurred by WTCC as a result of having to provide any CIHS Student with any modification or accommodation, including the costs of educational auxiliary aids.

  • Your Children If your plan includes family coverage, each of your and your spouse’s children are eligible for coverage until the last day of the month in which they turn twenty-six (26). A child for whom healthcare coverage is required through a Qualified Medical Child Support Order or other court or administrative order is also eligible for coverage. Your employer is responsible for determining if an order meets the criteria of a Qualified Medical Child Support Order. We may request more information from you to confirm your child’s eligibility. In accordance with R.I. General Law § 27-20-45, when your enrolled unmarried child reaches the maximum dependent age of twenty-six (26), he or she can continue to be considered an eligible dependent only if he or she is determined by us to be a disabled dependent. If you have an unmarried child of any age who is financially dependent upon you and medically determined to have a physical or mental impairment, which can be expected to result in death or which has lasted or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than twelve (12) months, that child is an eligible disabled dependent under this agreement. Please contact our Customer Service Department, to obtain the necessary form to verify the child’s disabled status. Periodically you may be asked to submit additional documents to confirm the child’s disabled status.

  • REPORTING OF MISSING CHILDREN a) CONTRACTOR assures ▇▇▇ that all staff members, including volunteers, are familiar with and agree to adhere to requirements for reporting missing children as specified in California Education Code section 49370. A written statement acknowledging the legal requirements of such reporting and verification of staff adherence to such reporting shall be properly submitted to the LEA upon request. b) In the event a child elopes from an NPS or Residential Treatment Center and evades adult supervision, the LEA shall be notified immediately following contact to law enforcement.

  • Children/Grandchildren An employee may purchase life insurance in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) as a package for all eligible children/grandchildren (as defined in Section 2A2 and 2A3 of this Article). For a new employee, child/grandchild coverage requires evidence of insurability if application is made after the initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C. An employee who becomes eligible for insurance may purchase child/grandchild coverage without evidence of insurability if application is made within thirty (30) days of the initial effective date as defined in this Article. Child/grandchild coverage commences fourteen (14) calendar days after birth.
