Except for Alaska yellow Clause Samples

The 'Except for Alaska yellow' clause serves to exclude Alaska yellow cedar from the scope of a contract or provision that otherwise applies to a broader category of goods, such as types of lumber or wood products. In practice, this means that while the agreement may cover various species of wood, any terms, restrictions, or obligations do not apply to Alaska yellow cedar. This exclusion is typically used to address differences in availability, pricing, or regulatory treatment for Alaska yellow cedar, ensuring that parties are not inadvertently bound by terms that are unsuitable or impractical for this specific material.
Except for Alaska yellow cedar determined pursuant to public hearing to be surplus, unprocessed Included Timber shall not be exported from the United States nor used in direct or indirect substitution for unprocessed timber exported from private lands by Contractor or any person as defined in the Act (16 USC 620e).
