Evaluation Timelines. 11.3.1. The timelines below shall apply to the evaluation process. All forms shall be submitted and meetings shall be held by the dates listed below. If the date falls on a weekend or holiday, the timeline shall be extended to the next workday. For those teachers who are on limited or extended limited contracts pursuant to ORC 3319.11 and who have been rated as “Ineffective” on their Annual Summative rating or are under consideration for nonrenewal, will have an annual evaluation that includes: 1) Three (3) formal observations of one class period (no less than thirty (30) consecutive minutes each); and 2) three (3) unscheduled classroom walk-throughs no less than five (5) and no more than twenty (20) minutes each per cycle. All teacher evaluations shall be completed by the first day of May and each teacher subject to this policy shall be provided with a written copy of the “Final Summative Rating” results by the tenth day of May. A teacher receiving an effectiveness rating of “Accomplished” on the teacher’s most recent annual evaluation may be evaluated once every three (3) school years, so long as the teacher’s student academic growth measure, for the most recent school year for which data is available, is average or higher, as determined by the Department of Education. A teacher receiving an effectiveness rating of “Skilled” on the teacher’s most recent annual evaluation may be evaluated once every two (2) school years, so long as the teacher’s student academic growth measure, for the most recent school year for which data is available, is average or higher, as determine by the Department of Education. If in the final year of a limited contract, the teacher may be evaluated for purposes of non-renewal regardless of previous evaluation rating.

The employee will receive a copy of the written evaluation and it is to be reviewed in a private conference with him/her.
