Evaluation and validation. In this phase, we rank the candidate platforms and determine how they perform relative to the user’s requirements. We consider metrics such as price, availability, and technical support.
Evaluation and validation. In this step, we analysed platforms listed in Figure 6 based on the above mentioned require- ments and system specification. The selection was done with weighted-sum or scalarization method [50]. For that, the relevant parameters of the components from Figure 6 were graded with numbers (scores). NVIDIA Tegra X2, Altera Stratix 10 (400), and the Xilinx Zynq Ultra- Scale+ have turned out in this way to be the best suitable hardware platforms for the TULIPP use cases and are analysed here in more detail.
