Ethernet redundancy Clause Samples

The Ethernet redundancy clause establishes requirements for providing backup or alternative Ethernet network connections to ensure continuous network availability. In practice, this may involve installing multiple Ethernet cables, switches, or network paths so that if one connection fails, data traffic can automatically reroute through another path without interruption. The core function of this clause is to minimize the risk of network downtime due to hardware failures or disconnections, thereby enhancing the reliability and resilience of critical network infrastructure.

  • Redundancy 21.1 Subject to the following procedure, it is agreed that it is the Employer’s prerogative to determine the order of selection of Employees for employment or retrenchment. 21.2 All relevant legislation governing unfair dismissal, discrimination etc. will be observed. 21.3 Voluntary terminations will be encouraged as a first step. 21.4 The seniority of Employees - within classifications, experience or skills held - will be observed by the Employer in selecting Employees for retrenchment. 21.5 The dispute settlement procedures set out in Part 2 will apply in the event of any concerns arising regarding retrenchments. 21.6 An Employee is entitled to access their Redundancy payments when they cease to be employed by the Employer. The amount of the Redundancy payment shall be whichever is the greater of the entitlement due under the Award as in force from time to time or the entitlement of the Employee under the Nominated Redundancy Fund trust deed (or under the constituting documents of any fund nominated by Incolink under this clause). Note that the industry-specific Redundancy scheme prescribed by the Award as in force from time to time is expressly incorporated into this Agreement (including for clarity, in respect of work falling within the scope of clause 4.2).

  • Unbundled Network Terminating Wire (UNTW) 2.8.3.1 UNTW is unshielded twisted copper wiring that is used to extend circuits from an intra-building network cable terminal or from a building entrance terminal to an individual End User’s point of demarcation. It is the final portion of the Loop that in multi-subscriber configurations represents the point at which the network branches out to serve individual subscribers. 2.8.3.2 This element will be provided in MDUs and/or Multi-Tenants Units (MTUs) where either Party owns wiring all the way to the End User’s premises. Neither Party will provide this element in locations where the property owner provides its own wiring to the End User’s premises, where a third party owns the wiring to the End User’s premises.

  • Connectivity User is solely responsible for providing and maintaining all necessary electronic communications with Exchange, including, wiring, computer hardware, software, communication line access, and networking devices.

  • Switching All of the negotiated rates, terms and conditions set forth in this Section pertain to the provision of local and tandem switching.
