Common use of Equipment Purchases and Title Clause in Contracts

Equipment Purchases and Title. Any Grantee equipment purchases supported in whole or in part through this Agreement must be listed in the supporting Equipment Inventory Schedule which should be attached to the Final Financial Status Report. Equipment means tangible, non-expendable, personal property having a useful life of more than one year and an acquisition cost of $5,000 or more per unit. Title to items having a unit acquisition cost of less than $5,000 will vest with the Grantee upon acquisition. The Department reserves the right to retain or transfer the title to all items of equipment having a unit acquisition cost of $5,000 or more, to the extent that the Department’s proportionate interest in such equipment supports such retention or transfer of title.
