Equipment Commitments a. No Equipment Commitments exist for First Officers, however, a First Officer shall only be allowed to bid into a higher paying turbo-jet Captain position or upgrade to a Captain position within his current turbo-prop equipment as applicable. Upon successful completion of training, such pilot will be restricted from bidding any other position for a period of 18 months for turbo-prop Captains and 36 months for turbo-jet Captains. Upon completion of such commitment, Captains will only be allowed to bid into higher paying Captain positions. b. New-hire pilots assigned Captain positions will be restricted from bidding any other position for a period of 18 months for turbo-prop Captains and 36 months for turbo-jet Captains. Upon completion of such commitment, Captains will only be allowed to bid higher paying Captain positions. 2. A displaced pilot, including any pilot who is voluntarily displaced, will be subject to any Equipment Commitment remaining on a previous Equipment Commitment 3. The Company may waive Equipment Commitments at any time, provided such waiver is in seniority order in the applicable equipment type. 4.
