Common use of Entry into Force, Amendment and Termination Clause in Contracts

Entry into Force, Amendment and Termination. 6.1. The present Agreement shall replace the Agreement Among the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the Government of the Republic of Estonia and the Government of the Republic of Latvia on the Academic Recognition of Educational Qualifications in the Baltic Educational Space signed on 18th of February 2000. 6.2. This Agreement shall stay in effect for a non-fixed period. It shall enter into force on the day when all Parties inform each other via diplomatic notes that each Party has fulfilled the internal legal procedures necessary for the entry into force of this Agreement. The date of the receipt of the last note shall be deemed to be the day of the entry into force of this Agreement. 6.3. The present Agreement may be amended through mutual written agreement of the Parties. The amendments shall be documented in separate protocols, which shall constitute an integral part of this Agreement and shall enter into force in accordance with the procedure set out in Article 6.2 of the present Agreement. 6.4. Each of the Parties can denounce the Agreement in writing through diplomatic channels. The Agreement shall cease to be in force 6 months after the date of such notification of its termination. After one of the Parties denounces the Agreement, it shall remain in force for the other two Parties. Signed at …………on .....................2018, in four original copies in the Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian and English languages, and all texts are equally authentic. In case of divergence in interpretation, the English text shall prevail.
