Common use of Engineering Controls Clause in Contracts

Engineering Controls. (I) A direct processor must use at least one of the following:  Substitution (e.g., replacing a toxic solvent with one less toxic),  Isolation (e.g., automating a process to avoid employee exposure), or  Ventilation and, if appropriate, capture (e.g., fume hood), (II) All of the following:  Dust control, capture, and clean up, and  Emergency shut-off systems, and  Fire suppression systems.
