Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Sample Clauses
An Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) clause establishes the process by which modifications to the technical requirements, design, or scope of a project can be formally proposed and evaluated. Typically, this clause outlines the steps for submitting a change request, the documentation required, and the review and approval procedures that must be followed before any changes are implemented. For example, if a contractor identifies a need to alter a component specification, they would submit an ECP detailing the proposed change and its impact on cost, schedule, and performance. The core function of this clause is to provide a structured mechanism for managing and controlling changes, thereby minimizing misunderstandings and ensuring that all parties agree to modifications before they are enacted.
Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). The Contractor shall generate ECPs in accordance with Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for the Ship Self Defense System V1.1 and deliver ECPs in accordance with CDRL A011. The contractor shall submit Requests for Variance (RFV) in accordance with the CMP and deliver in accordance with CDRL A012. ECPs shall be delivered including drawing redlines, detailed analysis to include shock and thermal analysis of risk of impacts to previously performed qualification testing, analysis of impacts to the ability of the hardware to comply with CIDS requirements, and acceptance testing software modifications necessary to accommodate the design change. CDRL A011 and CDRL A012 shall be submitted, as appropriate in accordance with the Government approved CMP. The Contractor shall:
(a) Generate ECPs (CDRL A011) utilizing DD Forms 1692 and 1693 for Class I and II ECPs, containing the data necessary for the Government to render final Configuration Control Board (CCB) disposition.
(b) Generate RFVs (CDRL A012) to request approval for any departure from a specific requirement(s) of the approved SSDS equipment baseline utilizing DD Form 1694.
Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). The contractor shall prepare a separate ECP for each engineering change that has its own distinct objective and is against a Government approved baseline. The contractor shall prepare and submit ECPs to the Government that shall include appropriate Notices of Revision, Specification Change Notices, and TM change pages, as necessary in accordance with the CMP.
Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). For any change that affects form, fit, function or safety of ammunition, the Contractor shall submit a Class I Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) to the Government for review in accordance with CDRL A001. To correct errors, or to implement a change that does not affect form, fit, function or safety, the Contractor shall submit a Class II ECP to the Government for review in accordance with CDRL A001.
