Embargoed Country Clause Samples

The Embargoed Country clause restricts parties from engaging in transactions or activities that involve countries subject to trade embargoes or sanctions. Typically, this clause prohibits the export, re-export, or transfer of goods, services, or technology to individuals or entities located in embargoed nations, such as those designated by government authorities like the U.S. Treasury Department. Its core function is to ensure compliance with international laws and regulations, thereby protecting parties from legal penalties and reputational risks associated with unauthorized dealings.
