Common use of Eligible Person Clause in Contracts

Eligible Person. Eligible Person refers to a person who meets the eligibility rules established by the federal Health Insurance Marketplace Eligibility or continued eligibility will not be based on any of the following health status-related factors: health status, medical condition including physical and mental illness, claims experience, receipt of health care, medical history, genetic information, and evidence of insurability including conditions arising out of acts of domestic violence or disability. When an Eligible Person actually enrolls, we refer to that person as a Policyholder. For a complete definition of Eligible Person and Policyholder, see Section 8: Defined Terms. Eligible Persons must live within the Service Area, unless otherwise provided by the federal Health Insurance Marketplace.
