Eligibility Statement. Only teachers who are rated highly effective or effective in the prior school year are eligible for a salary increase. Teachers who are evaluated as Needs Improvement or Ineffective (bottom 2 categories in the NCSC Teacher Performance Evaluation System) are not eligible to receive any salary increase. Compensation money for increases that otherwise would have been given to a teacher whose performance is rated Ineffective or Needs Improvement will be redistributed according to the Teacher Compensation System among teachers whose performance is rated Effective or Highly Effective. • Teachers will receive a $1,125 salary increase to their base salary for an evaluation rating of highly effective or effective. • Teachers who earn their Master’s Degree in the content area as defined by IDOE will receive a base salary increase of $1,000 on their next contract year.
