Eligibility Rules. To be eligible for the benefits described in this Article in any given semester or academic year, a full-time regular academic member of the unit must be employed at more than sixty percent (60%) of full time. A full-time regular academic employee may retain eligibility for the benefits described in this Article in the case of mutually agreed upon reduction of assignment, provided that the reduced assignment is at least fifty percent (50%) of full time.

Eligibility Rules. A year-round employee shall become eligible for coverage under this Section on the first (1st) day of the month following his/her completion of sixty (60) days of continuous service, provided said year-round employee is then actively at work for the Employer. When a year-round employee has satisfied the eligibility requirements for benefits as provided under this Section but thereafter ceases to be a year-round employee, he/she shall, if restored to year-round status within one (l) year, become eligible for coverage on his/her first working day following his/her restoration to year-round status, provided that he/she has not in the interim broken continuous service as defined in Section VIII C of this Agreement, and further Provided that said year-round employee is then actively at work for the Employer. To be eligible for dependent coverage, an employed spouse must elect coverage under any medical plan offered by the Employer of the spouse. This requirement shall not apply to a spouse during the period the spouse is laid off from employment. In addition, this requirement shall not apply to the spouse of an eligible employee elect- ing coverage under any agreed upon HMO option. Dependents of year-round employees shall be eligible for hospital-med- ical coverage until they attain the age of twenty-six (26). Non-year-round employees and their dependents shall become eligible for coverage under this Section if the employee works an average of at least thirty (30) hours per week during a mea- surement period of twelve (12) months or as otherwise required under the Affordable Care Act and applicable regulations.
Eligibility Rules. To be eligible for holiday pay an employee must have worked the last scheduled work day prior to and the first scheduled work day after such holiday unless excused by management in advance, when possible. If the absence is due to an illness, a physician’s note will be required to authorize the absence as excused.
