Electronic Transactions and Code Sets. To the extent that the services performed by Business Associate pursuant to the Agreement involve transactions that are subject to the regulations governing electronic transactions and code sets issued pursuant to HIPAA, Business Associate shall conduct such transactions in conformance with such regulations, as amended from time to time.
Electronic Transactions and Code Sets. Both Parties understand and agree that they are required to comply with the HIPAA Standards for Electronic Transactions, 45 CFR Parts 160 and 162 (HIPAA Electronic Transaction Law) as amended from time to time. The HIPAA Electronic Transaction Law requires Business Associate to conduct certain transactions as “standard transactions” using defined medical data code sets. Business Associate agrees that it will require its subcontractors, vendors, and independent contractors to comply with HIPAA Electronic Transaction Law as applicable. Electronic Transactions and Code Sets. Agent shall comply with the HIPAA Standards For Electronic Transactions and Code Sets, 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 162, with respect to electronic protected health information covered by this Agreement. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Agent agrees that it will, in accordance with 45 C.F.R. § 162.923(c): A. Comply with all applicable requirements of 45 C.F.R. Part 162; and
