ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT Sample Clauses
The Electricity Deposit clause requires a tenant or occupant to provide a financial deposit specifically to cover electricity usage or potential unpaid electricity bills. Typically, this deposit is collected at the start of a lease or service agreement and may be held by the landlord, property manager, or utility provider until the end of the occupancy. The deposit can be used to settle any outstanding electricity charges or damages related to electricity usage, and any remaining balance is usually refunded after final settlement. This clause ensures that the property owner or utility provider is protected against non-payment of electricity costs, thereby reducing financial risk and encouraging responsible usage by the tenant.
