Efficient Irrigation Clause Samples
The Efficient Irrigation clause establishes requirements for the use of water-saving irrigation methods and technologies in landscaping or agricultural projects. Typically, it mandates the installation of systems such as drip irrigation, moisture sensors, or smart controllers to minimize water waste and ensure that plants receive only the necessary amount of water. By setting these standards, the clause helps conserve water resources, reduce utility costs, and promote sustainable land management practices.
Efficient Irrigation. If a watering system is utilized, it must be a drip irrigation system equipped with a filter, pressure regulator and emitters. The system must be free of leaks and malfunctions. Each drip emitter must be rated at twenty (20) gallons per hour (gph) or less. If part of a lawn is converted, the sprinkler system must be properly modified to provide adequate coverage to the remaining lawn without spraying the converted area.
