Educators with PTS. 1. The Educator whose overall rating is Proficient or Exemplary must have at least one (1) unannounced observation during the evaluation cycle. 2. The Educator whose overall rating is Needs Improvement must be observed according to the Directed Growth Plan during the period of the Plan which must include at least two (2) unannounced observations. 3. The Educator whose overall rating is Unsatisfactory must be observed according to the Improvement Plan which must include both unannounced and announced observations. The number and frequency of the observations shall be determined by the Evaluator, but in no case, for Improvement Plans of one (1) year, shall there be fewer than one (1) announced and four (4) unannounced observations. For Improvement Plans of six (6) months or fewer there must be no fewer than one (1) announced and two (2) unannounced observations.
