Dues Collection. Teachers shall have the right to request and be allowed dues and Association 30 Insurance Program deductions provided that dues deduction and the proceeds thereof shall not be 31 allowed if the Association has lost its rights to dues deduction pursuant to Florida Statutes 447.

Dues Collection. 6.01 The Employer will deduct from the first pay period of each month Union Dues of all employees coming within the scope of this Agreement in the amount prescribed by the Local Union under whose jurisdiction the Employer is performing work and promptly remit the same, together with a list of the names of the employees on whose behalf deductions are made in accordance with Article 21 Method of Payment and Administration of Funds. For the duration of this Agreement, any changes or amendments to Union Dues must be presented to OPCA in writing and distributed at least thirty (30) days prior to implementation.

Dues Collection. In accordance with the dues agreement executed by members of the bargaining unit who choose to join the association, teachers on leaves of absence are not excused from paying professional dues. When a leave is for a half year (90 days) or more, the teacher is entitled to pay half-time dues. When taking a leave of absence which would result in the teacher not returning to work during that same school year, the balance of the annual dues will be deducted from the teacher’s final paycheck. If this deduction does not occur, the teacher, by executing the dues agreement, has agreed to pay the ETA as collection agent for OEA, NEA, and NEOEA, upon demand, the remainder of the dues for the membership year. Board action to deduct unpaid dues from the teacher’s final paycheck is an activity of the employer covered by the indemnification provisions of this negotiated agreement, Section 13.14.7.
Dues Collection. Each pay day, including final pay, the Board shall deduct Association dues 23 from the pay of every member who has signed an authorization card(see Appendix A). Upon 24 termination from employment, any amount due the Association shall be deducted from the 25 employee’s final paycheck. The authorization is revocable by the employee upon thirty (30) days’ 26 written notice to the Board and the Association. The Board will provide the Association with a 27 complete list of deductions made each month. Dues deduction authorization cards must be 28 presented to the Payroll Department by the Association six (6) work days before the pay period 29 in which the deduction begins. The Payroll Department will notify the Association of a member’s 30 request to drop membership withinseven business days. Any dispute as to the amount of dues deducted 31 shall be solely between the Association and the employee. The Association and the employee shall 32 hold the School Board harmless from any liability arising from the deduction of any dues. In cases 33 of deduction errors, adjustments will be made in subsequent checks. There shall be a charge for 34 each deduction of five cents ($.05) per deduction per member to be paid by the Association.

Monies so collected will be remitted to the Union not later than the 25th day of the following calendar month. Employees will also be required to obtain and maintain membership in good standing in the Union provided that for the purposes of this Agreement, such membership in good standing shall be entirely satisfied by the regular payment of Union dues. The Union shall hold the Company harmless with respect to all dues so deducted and remitted and with respect to any liability which the Company might incur as a result of such deduction and remittance.

Dues Collection a. In accordance with Massachusetts law, the Employer shall deduct from earned wages periodic MPFA membership dues required as a condition of acquiring or retaining membership in the MPFA of those employees who individually authorize such deduction in writing on the form provided by the Employer.
