DPPA Covered Data Clause Samples

The 'DPPA Covered Data' clause defines which types of personal information are protected under the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA). It typically specifies that any data derived from motor vehicle records, such as names, addresses, or driver identification numbers, are subject to special handling and restrictions. By clearly identifying what information falls under DPPA protection, this clause ensures compliance with federal law and helps prevent unauthorized disclosure or misuse of sensitive driver data.
