Donated Leave Policy. Purpose: To provide a mechanism for permanent City employees to voluntarily donate a portion of their earned sick time to other permanent City employees who have exhausted their own earned sick and vacation time, and who are suffering from a non-occupational, catastrophic health condition or injury which necessitates the employee’s prolonged absence from work.
