Common use of Dividend Yield Clause in Contracts

Dividend Yield. The Fund may quote a "dividend yield" for each class of its shares. Dividend yield is based on the dividends paid on a class of shares during the actual dividend period. To calculate dividend yield, the dividends of a class declared during a stated period are added together, and the sum is multiplied by 12 (to annualize the yield) and divided by the maximum offering price on the last day of the dividend period. The formula is shown below: Dividend Yield = dividends paid x 12/maximum offering price (payment date) The maximum offering price for Class A shares includes the current maximum initial sales charge. The maximum offering price for Class B and Class C shares is the net asset value per share, without considering the effect of contingent deferred sales charges. There is no sales charge on Class Y shares.
