Disputes Avoidance. All parties agree to undertake all necessary steps to ensure that all issues receive prompt attention and are resolved by consultation, preferably by the internal settlement of issues.

Disputes Avoidance. 24.1 HMP and the employees agree to be committed to the following: (a) maintaining continuity of production throughout the operation by observance of the following procedure; and (b) ensuring that all grievances or disputes between employees and HMP are resolved on site at the lowest possible level in the organisation; and (c) resolving disputes in good faith and as quickly a possible; and (d) the separation of grievances or disputes between parties who are not employed at the mine, and in particular that HMP employees and other mine site employees will not become involved in each other’s grievances or disputes. 24.2 In the event of dispute arising as to the interpretation or application of this agreement, or any matter arising in the course of employment, the following procedure will apply. Step 1 The matter will in the first instance be discussed between the employee/s and the immediate Supervisor involved. Step 2 The employee shall reduce the grievance to writing and refer it to the department manager. The matter shall be discussed by the employee and department manager or his / her representative.
