A Dispenser should be able to perform their tasks with general guidance or direction. In some situations, detailed instructions may be necessary. A Dispenser may be required to exercise limited judgment and initiative within the range of their skills and knowledge, and their work may be subject to review. A Dispenser may be required to provide guidance or assistance to less experienced employees at the same or lower level, under supervision. A Leading Dispenser is consistent with ‘Retail Employee Level 6’ classification in the General Retail Industry Award and may be required to act in a management capacity, which may include second-in- charge to a Store Manager or as a Store Manager.
