Discretionary Vacation Buy Back. 8.12(A) The Company may, in its sole discretion, offer to buy back full or partial vacation weeks, or both, prior to the vacation bid for the next vacation year in accordance with each Flight Attendant’s standing vacation sell-back election. The Company will maintain a standing election system to facilitate the vacation sell-back. A standing election (or change thereto or revocation thereof) will not be considered effective as to vacation days accrued prior to the first day of the first vacation year that follows the calendar year in which the standing election is submitted. Once it becomes effective, a standing election will remain in effect as to all vacation days accrued prior to the effective date of any modified election or revocation.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

No segment shall include more than ten (10) consecutive days of vacation leave in June, July, and/or August, provided that an employee may select contiguous segments of vacation leave. Each employee will be guaranteed one (1) scheduled workweek of vacation leave if requested as one of their segments. Off-shift times to select a vacation will not be considered as “time worked” for purposes of computing callback or overtime. If an employee is unable to be present during their scheduled time they may make their choice by telephone, email, or another individual with written documentation of designation, may select a vacation segment(s) for the employee. If the employee fails to select their vacation during their assigned time, the Employer may proceed with scheduling. The employee will be provided an opportunity to select their segment(s) at a later date when they are available. The Employer will publish the vacation schedule by March 1, after considering requests, as well as Agency program needs. Employees will complete a Leave Request Form no less than thirty (30) days prior to any approved vacation segment taken.

  • Sick Leave Incentive Program MSUAASF and Minnesota State may develop a sick leave incentive program through the establishment of a joint committee.
