Dimensional Stability Sample Clauses

The Dimensional Stability clause defines the requirement that materials or products must maintain their specified dimensions under certain conditions, such as changes in temperature or humidity. In practice, this clause may set acceptable tolerances for expansion, contraction, or warping, and often requires testing or certification to demonstrate compliance. Its core function is to ensure that products remain fit for purpose and reliable throughout their intended use, thereby preventing failures or defects caused by dimensional changes.
Dimensional Stability. Carpet will not lose its dimensional stability (i.e.growth or shrinkage with either stretch-in or glue down installations) for the lifeof the carpet due to normal variations in atmosphere, temperature, or humidity or when maintained in accordance with Mohawk Group’s recommended maintenance procedures.
Dimensional Stability. The shrinkage of the graphic films after application shall not exceed 0.2%. This is to be tested as per clause 16.4.

The projecting test specimen is then cut with a sharp knife (razor blade) along the test plate. Afterwards, the test specimens are stored for 48 hrs at 70°C and are then cooled down for 2 hours in standard reference atmosphere of 23+/-1°C and 50% relative humidity. Measurement of the shrinkage at two measuring points in longitudinal and transverse directions should be done.

Dimensional Stability. Standard tolerances of dimensional stability cannot be defined because of the variability of texture, yarn, patterns and typology of fabric. It is therefore recommended to refer to dimensional stability reported in the tachnical data sheet of individual fabrics. The Supplier shall undertake to keep to the technical data sheet which should include the maximum dimensional variation. Should values exceed the admitted tolerance, the Buyer and the Seller will reach an agreement on the most appropriate corrective action that might bring stability back within the agreed limits. Whenever the Seller deems it impossible to improve stability, the Buyer is entitled to reject the fabric or to keep it anyway, with a fair discount
