Common use of Diameter Clause in Contracts

Diameter. Diameter of water main shall be designed to deliver water in adequate quantities and pressures for domestic use under peak consumption conditions and fire fighting in accordance with these Standards. Standard water main diameters shall be 2½ (except Hawaii and Maui), 3 (Kauai only), 4, 6, 8, 12,16, 18 (except Oahu), 20, 24, 30, 36 and 42-inches. Types and classes of mains are as shown in Table 100-4.
