DFM Clause Samples
The DFM (Design for Manufacturability) clause sets requirements to ensure that a product's design is optimized for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing. It typically obligates the design party to consider manufacturing constraints, material selection, and production processes during the design phase, and may require collaboration with manufacturers to identify and resolve potential production issues early. By incorporating DFM principles, this clause helps prevent costly redesigns, reduces production delays, and ensures that the final product can be manufactured reliably and at scale.
DFM. Upon request by Eutectix, Liquidmetal, at its own cost, shall provide engineering support for the design of Liquidmetal Products and equipment molds for optimal manufacturability (that is, engineering the design of the Product in such a way that the Product is easy to manufacture).
DFM. The parties acknowledge and agree that: (a) Retek currently markets a software product known as the "Demand Forecasting Module" (the "DFM"), which was originally known as "SkuPlan"; (b) the DFM was originally developed by HNC and its formerly existing wholly-owned subsidiary Neil ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇ociates, Inc., a Georgia corporation ("NTA") that was merged with and into RIS, with use of Underlying Technology (as defined below); and (c) the DFM has been further developed by RIS with the support and assistance of HNC and use of Underlying Technology (as defined below). The parties further acknowledge and agree that: (a) RIS owns the DFM, subject to HNC's retained ownership of the Underlying Technology (as defined below); (b) HNC shall retain ownership of the Underlying Technology and all Intellectual Property Rights associated therewith; and
