Deviation from Plans or Specifications Clause Samples

Deviation from Plans or Specifications. No person except the Engineer shall have authority to revoke, alter, enlarge, or change any provisions of these specifications or the plans for the work, and if the Contractor deviates from them in any particular without written authorization from the Engineer, he does so at his own risk; and such work and payment therefore may not be approved. The inspector may make such field changes as deemed necessary to facilitate the work.
