Designated Trainer. The term, “designated trainer,” is a person who may be added to the normal crew of a vessel for purposes of providing training on board a vessel or in a classroom. Designated trainers may or may not be members of the bargaining unit.
Designated Trainer. An employee designated with the responsibility for training any employee shall be paid an additional one dollar (1.00) per hour over their classification rate for hours spent training on the weeks the company schedules training. The parties agree that training is a specialized skillset and the parties will mutually agree to who are the designated trainers and will follow seniority where possible.
