Design Clarifications Sample Clauses

The Design Clarifications clause defines how ambiguities, inconsistencies, or uncertainties in design documents are to be addressed during a project. It typically outlines the process for seeking clarification from the design team or architect, and may specify timelines for responses or the hierarchy of documents to resolve conflicts. This clause ensures that all parties have a clear and agreed-upon method for resolving design-related questions, thereby minimizing delays, misunderstandings, and disputes during the construction or implementation phase.
Design Clarifications. Consultant shall prepare up to fifteen (15) design clarifications to explain and/or change the intent of the construction contract documents, as well as advising the City on any impact thereof to the Project. In preparing the design clarifications, Consultant shall issue revised specifications, drawings, and/or sketches, as necessary. Consultant shall consolidate its design clarifications and submit them to the City on EADOC for processing and distribution to the general contractor.
Design Clarifications. If required for unforeseen conditions or other reasons, West ▇▇▇▇ will prepare up to two design clarifications of the Contract Drawings. Design clarifications may include narrative descriptions, revised Contract Drawings, and/or revised specifications. A total of 24 hours of engineering and drafting staff time has been assumed for this task. Task 9 Deliverables • Narrative descriptions, revised Contract Drawings, and/or revised specifications
Design Clarifications. The influent water chemistry will affect the carbon bed life. Organic or iron fouling will shorten bed life. • Contractor recommends using prefiltration prior to GAC treatment. For this application, Contractor recommends bag filter housings with 10-micron followed by 5-micron followed by 1-micron filter bags. Contractor does not currently have potable filters available in the fleet. • Site conditions and actual water quality dictate media change-out frequency. These vary from project to project. • If further treatment is needed to meet the discharge limits at the site, pricing will be provided at that time and will be the responsibility of the Town. • With all GAC, there will be an initial pH spike when the GAC is placed upon line. This will be mitigated as the GAC is rinsed. The duration of this spike is specific to the water quality being treated, but should be considered in the overall treatment scheme. • Additional inorganic data (TDS, alkalinity) will be evaluated to determine the scale potential of the water. It is possible that acidification upstream of the GAC bed may be required to reduce scaling potential. No chemical feed system is been included in this Scope of Services.
Design Clarifications. The West ▇▇▇▇ team will develop as-needed design clarifications and provide new or amended contract documents for inclusion in a change order. The budget for this task includes preparation of up to 5 design clarifications or change orders and includes up to 50 hours for engineering, drafting, and administrative activities.
