Demoted for Cause. An Employee who is demoted for cause within the bargaining unit shall enter the new level at the same step occupied in the higher level. The Employee shall be required to serve a new three (3) month probationary period. Re-employed Employee: An Employee who separated from borough employment and is re-employed within sixty (60) days from their termination date shall be placed at the same longevity step they earned prior to separation.
