Common use of Definition of Business Day Clause in Contracts

Definition of Business Day. For purposes of this Contract, the term “business day” as used herein shall mean all days of the week except Saturday, Sunday and any other days which are declared federal bank holidays in the state of North Carolina. If any period of time ends, or if any act required to be performed, on a day other than a business day, then the applicable period of time shall be deemed to expire, or the date required for the performance for the appropriate obligation shall be deemed to be extended, on the next business day following the applicable date of performance.
