Decrease in Scope Sample Clauses

A Decrease in Scope clause allows for the reduction of the work, services, or deliverables originally agreed upon in a contract. This clause typically outlines the process for modifying the scope, such as requiring written notice and agreement on adjustments to timelines, pricing, or other terms affected by the change. Its core function is to provide a clear and fair mechanism for both parties to manage and document reductions in project requirements, thereby minimizing disputes and ensuring that contractual obligations remain aligned with actual needs.
