Data Repatriation Clause Samples

A Data Repatriation clause outlines the process and requirements for returning or transferring data from one party back to its original owner or to a specified location, typically at the end of a contract or upon request. This clause often details the format, timing, and security measures for the data transfer, and may specify responsibilities for deleting or destroying copies after repatriation. Its core function is to ensure that sensitive or proprietary data is properly returned and not retained by the service provider, thereby protecting the data owner's interests and maintaining compliance with data privacy obligations.
