Common use of Data Owner Clause in Contracts

Data Owner. For the purpose of this Agreement and Principles, the Chief Executive of each Monash Partners (MP) Organisation is the Data Owner. The authority for disclosure outside of the MP Organisation rests with the Chief Executive. The Chief Executive may authorise a senior executive or manager (e.g. Director of Clinical Governance) within the MP Organisation to exercise this delegation provided the authority is in writing and is limited to information that does not identify any individual to whom the information relates. Assessment and approval of the project by a Human Research and Ethics Committee (HREC)will precede sign off from the Chief Executive (or delegate) for disclosure of data outside of the MP Organisation.
