Data Access Agreement Clause Samples

A Data Access Agreement is a contractual provision that governs the terms under which one party is permitted to access, use, or share data owned or controlled by another party. Typically, this clause outlines the types of data covered, the permitted purposes for access, any restrictions on use or disclosure, and the security measures required to protect the data. For example, it may specify that data can only be used for research purposes and must not be shared with third parties without consent. The core function of this clause is to protect sensitive information, ensure compliance with privacy laws, and clearly define the rights and responsibilities of each party regarding data handling.
